All finishes are eco-friendly and derived from sustainable sources. They are the result of painstaking research into non-polluting formulae and methods that have accompanied furniture for centuries.
• Traditional French polishing with shellac Both new finishes and restoration of original finishes. As well as being a completely ecological, natural finish, shellac can be re-polished without being eroded while keeping the original patina. The great advantage of shellac is that it does not yellow and is easy to maintain, unlike synthetic varnishes that, when damaged, often need to be completely replaced.
• Wax finishes For wooden furniture in solid wood the use of natural waxes allows the original finishes to be restored.
• Traditional lacquer with natural resins (sandarac)
• Application of oil with compounds based on special mixture of natural oils and resins, suitable for matt finishes in both indoor and outdoor environments.
• Restoration of paintwork/varnishing on window blinds, windows, doors and rooftop terraces with bio-compatible solutions and reduced CO2 emissions.
• Aesthetic masking removal of scratches, reconstruction of parts and removal of stains on antique, antique-style, modern and contemporary furniture and fittings. The damage caused by accidents that cause scratches, fading (oxidization) and stains can sometimes be remedied with local interventions or masking thus avoiding ‘full-scale’ intervention. This technique can also be used in cases of more important reconstructions, for example breakages that cause serious aesthetic damage.
• Structural consolidation of wooden furnishing and fittings when splitting and ungluing occur by means of special resins and carpenter’s glue.
• Plastering using plaster and carpenter’s glue with mimetic masking.
• Picture frame restoration, both simple and gilded, with reconstruction of missing parts.
• Drawer lining with removable paper with the possibility of using hand-printed, personalized paper.
